Journal Entry 15

I was playing Red Dead Redemption and I got into a fight with a guy in Armadillo. I killed him 5 times in a row rather easily before he killed me. And that was mainly by luck. I was riding out of town and he respawned next to me, which would become the theme for the play session. Unfortunately he missed a feat of awesomeness right before he respawned. I had ben declared Most Wanted and had 3 Lawmen heading towards me. we were about 20 yards apart and I started spamming Lt and RT. in the span of about a second, I killed all three of them and a civilian walking by. It was Epic.

The sad thing is that the guy in Armadillo was stupid. He kept going after me! I killed him 3 or 4 times for every time he killed me! Finally I shot him in the face with a Shotgun and continued on to McFarlane Ranch.

On the way, I encountered a Lvl 5 player that I easily took out several times before he took me out (again, respawning next to me.) At one point he actually charged at me on foot shooting from the hip! I casually raised my High Powered Pistol and emptied it into him before continuing to the Ranch.

I got to the ranch and decided to see how long I could last against Lawmen. I didn't last very long though because there was a guy I missed with a Sniper Rifle who took me out. He got me a couple more time before I was able to find a way to get into a position to kill him. I killed him a few more times, evening the score. From that point on we were locked in an Epic Duel! Each of us were fighting from cover to cover, trying to get into position to get the kill and the score remained even the entire time. Finally, I respawned and saw him heading towards the barn again. I ran towards him and we traded fire before sliding behind cover at the same time. It was like something from an action movie! He eventually got to the barn and started shooting at me from the windows. I returned fire, but neither of us could get the kill. I moved to the hay racks next to the barn. We continued to exchange fire, even getting Dynamite involved, but couldn't get the kill. Finally someone else showed up and killed me, leaving my opponent with 1 kill more then me.

Going to have to try to play against him again some time so we can even the score.

Journal Entry 14

I've been playing a bunch of Red Dead Redemption (YAY! A post about a game not set during World War 2!)the last few days. When I stared playing today, I ended up having to deal with a couple guys that were chasing other people off. Of course I had to do something. So I lured them into some traps and kept killing them, which kept pissing them off. That meant they started chasing me whenever I respawned. Finaly I went into the Outfitter and sent a message.

It was time to get the Horsemen back together.

First I contacted Greg, who was online already playing Halo. While he finished up the match he was in, I saw that they were heading towards Armadillo and used the warp pipe (transport) to warp there and took them out as they entered town. I kept fighting them, but was soon outnumbered even more when they recruited a new member and had a fourth unofficially join their posse.

That's when Greg arrived.

with 2 of the Horsemen fighting side by side, the 2 against 4 odds were even But just to make it more fun, Dan arrived.

The original Horsemen were back.

We made short work of all of them, chasing off 3 of them before we decided to head for El Presidio. Unfortunately the one still on decided to follow us. but we eventually sent him running.

After killing the Mexican Army (with cannons!) for a while, a couple more guys showed up, trying to take the Horsemen down. Unfortunately for them, we were a well trained fighting force and took them out easily. They kept coming back and we kept killing them until they left.

In the end, the only enemy to beat us was time. Both Dan and Greg had to go to bed (I work in the afternoon) But both were eager to play again

Red Dead players beware

THE HORESEMEN ARE BACK!
